Jayesh Patel is the founder of Kiwi Pumps, a Rajkot based company engaged in manufacturing of submersible pumps. The reason what attracted me to interview him was his involvement with two magazines 1. Kheti ni Vat and 2. Pumps News, that he runs with creative aspect. Magazine ‘Kheti ni Vat’ is all about agriculture field, in which he provides interesting as well useful information which today’s farmer can make use of. Articles crafted in this magazine are quite updated looking at today’s high-teach arena. More than 25,000 farmers are connected with this magazine every month.

What’s more creative about this magazine is that, recently Mr. Patel has started two initiatives, 1. Khedut (Farmer) Club and 2. Khedut Award. A farmer is the base of entire life-cycle. He is said to be the son of soil and father of the world, as he provides the most basic requirement of humanity – food. But it is mostly observed that, he doesn’t get enough return in respect to the hard work he does. Middle men do eat up their deserving part.

Moreover, their fortune is based upon the nature too – appropriate weather, enough rain etc. Thus, he works in much odd situation and sometimes suffers from natural disasters too. In such a scene, it is quite an appreciable act which is initiated by Mr. Patel where in he shall be awarding farmers in cash under different award categories such as:

He is involved with many social organizations, thus engaged in humanitarian activities too. He with his hard work has created his empire from ashes. Being very creative in different fields, he supports the vision of young guns.
